Artist's Description
A frayed social fabric allows for strings to touch that would normally stay apart. Unique combinations of things come forth, not always accepted by the mainstream, but existent nonetheless. The barbarism of rampant commerce masquerading as culture. Lofty goals of freedom and happiness faced with the reality of its heights and lengths. One is not promised a thing besides death and the inconvenience of life. Circumvention through whatever means is added up into moments of truth and light, flickering and creating scenarios culminating into stories. Live to be, not to have. Derivations from the old spawned by new vision.
About Will Felix
Will Felix was born in Brooklyn, NY. His art career developed in Orlando, FL, where his work has been on display in several venues, including the Orlando Museum of Art and City Hall. Subsequent moves to New York City in 2000 and Akron, OH in 2004 have provided varied influences and venues for his career. He now resides in Williamsburg, VA.
