Artist's Description
In the ashes of a long term encounter rises the remnants of a human being. Lament, shame, and perspective clamor for center stage, while the eyes see the fire of creation and destruction. Matching colors flicker and blend bending spectrums. Is it the jade of another love gone bad, proving the exception is the rule? Is the rose of colored glasses anticipating another miracle, like the supposed rarity of diamonds? Is it the blue of longing after being presented with the possibility? Or is it the bleak black of nothing, a quietude summoned to negate the reality of confusion? Questions replete with feelings but devoid of answers, leaving a pastiche of moments played out of sequence.
About Will Felix
Will Felix was born in Brooklyn, NY. His art career developed in Orlando, FL, where his work has been on display in several venues, including the Orlando Museum of Art and City Hall. Subsequent moves to New York City in 2000 and Akron, OH in 2004 have provided varied influences and venues for his career. He now resides in Williamsburg, VA.
